Azerbaijani poet known for works such as The Winds and The Voices of the Day. His literary work focuses on themes of communism, love, nature, and the lives of the working class.
He graduated from Baku Sate University in 1931 with a degree in literature.
He was executed in 1939 during the Stalinist purges of the era. He was posthumously exonerated and has since become one of Azerbaijan's most popular poets.
